Beautiful lake in the mountains

The Dolomiti, southern Italian Alpes (actually it should be Austria) hold many places that are great to visit. This country is Süd Tirol and many people still speak German together with Italian. Lago di Garda is a lake that lies wonderfully between high mountains and has many pictoresk villages surrounding it. Watersporters can have the joy of their wet activities in the - for them maybe strange - environment of the Alps. Further South the beautiful hilly Italian countryside starts and creates the pictures like in paintings. Horizons with trees like cones and little churchtowers among green, brown, orange and yellow fields. Verona is the ancient town and has a incredable arena (the Colosseum in Rome must see it as it's main competitor). Verona is also the opera-town of Italy (and maybe the world), so if you go, try to get tickets to one. Don't be shocked of the prices, especially in the highseason or with new opera's.
