"Our may visits to the unknown cape" Fermanville by Pavlik_NL
Fermanville Travel Guide: 7 reviews and 26 photos
Fermanville is a village situated on Cap Levi. When one sees the coastline of Cotentin peninsula in Normandy, tow capes stand out for sure. These are most Western Cap-la-Hague and most Eastern Gattesville-le-Phare. In the middle of the Northern shoreline, one more point sticks out into the English Channel (La Manche). This is Cap-Levi and for those who seek a not by tourists overrun rocky place that sticks into the sea, THIS IS IT!
Cap-Levi was from our stay at the camping in Maupertus-sur-Mer, the closest cape and what a joy that was. This quiet and unknown, yet beautiful cape, was wonderful for our evenings. Here it was where we saw the sunset several times in many different forms. And here it was that we more then once enjoyed a picknick at sea. Near the lighthouse of Fermanville, a small parking is even inviting some campers to stay a night over (though this is illegal in France on non-appointed places like this).
Cap Levi itself even offers more then only a beautiful cape. Near the lighthouse one also finds a old fortress, that now-a-days is a very private and romantic "Gite-de-France"! (see the tips on this page). Another attractive place is the small port "La Perry", with it's colourful boats.
