La Pernelle, beautiful view over Normandy

La Pernelle is a small village with a big secret. Here one finds one of the most beautiful views over the Normandian coastline, just next to a small cave that is devoted to the Holy Virgin Mary. The place is definately worth a visit, which is very well to do in combination with the bigger attractions in the region, such as Barfleur, Saint-Vaast-la-Hogue or the lighthouse at Gatteville.

Just turn a corner and look out over the coast

La Pernelle can be easily seen from the surrounding low lands. Driving along the coast, one can't miss the suddenly appearing small hill in the midst of wide fields and small forests. Aside the hill, a small church jumps out and it's only a kilometer from the main road near Saint-Vaast.
