This page is about Maupertus-sur-Mer, but as well about our wonderful homebase for discovering the Normandian surroundings of Cotentin. Here we could reach many interesting places along the Normandian coast, as well as have big fun staying near the camping. At only a few hundred meters distance, we had our "private" beach and the camping always organised lots of entertainment for young and old. In the attached tips, you find out more about camping Anse-du-Brick and the things we did there. Of course you also will see some sightseeing possibilities of Maupertes-sur-Mer.

Maupertus is situated just a few kilometers East from Cherbourg, at the Normandian peninsula Cotentin's most Northern shore line. Beautiful bays exchange their small strips of sandy beaches with rocky masses, that sometimes dangerously stick out into the sea and survive because of the fact that these cliffs excist of strong granite.

Maupertus-sur-Mer was for us above all the place where our family tent was waiting for us every day on the magnificent Camping Anse-du-Brick. This camping offers splendid spacious places and all facalities that a (spoiled) camping lover wants. Especially the activities for children were perfect and Ilja had a lot of fun with entertainer Lily, that every day came with original ideas to do with the children.
