Favorite Thing: Where does that leave the Haight today? Somewhere between here and there. You can still hear people whispering “medicinal marijuana” or “hits” while walking down the streets. The local merchants can fulfill your leather needs as well as smoking accessories. The pubs and food joints cater to anyone. You will have to overlook that fact that Ben & Jerry’s and the GAP monopolize the corner of Haight & Ashbury.
