Eilat is located on the southern most tip of Israel in the Gulf of Aqaba. It's hemmed in by Jordan and Egypt and therefore it's a convenient starting point for visiting both these countries.

Eilat is a beach resort. Good for its sunny weather and snorkelling, especially through the Japanese Gardens off Coral beach. In my opinion diving is a waste of time here. Most of the coral reef is only 10m deep so it's just as easy to see everything without the dive gear.

This picture (not mine) kind of sums up the place. Some good hotels/nightclubs/live music/watersports.

Thanks for the falafel recipe. I love falafels and I really miss falafels I had in Israel.
