Wellington is New Zealand's capital city, with a population of around 300,000 people.
Because it's so hilly and houses and streets are dotted all over it, land is at a premium, and many residents have to live out of the city some distance away on flatter ground, at Upper and Lower Hutt.
Here is the place where you get the best view of the city: the top of Mt Victoria.
The drive to the top, along narrow residential streets, is so steep I wonder how some old cars can actually make it! |
