Nightlife Spot: at Melba Gully rainforest walk
Since I'm such an animal lover, I'm afraid my nightlife tip for the Great Ocean Road is for animal watching (if you can call Glow Worms animals)
To see them, take the Melba Gully rainforest night (see Must Sees) but at night this time, with a torch to light your way.
When you get close to the creek, get down low and look up and underneath the fronds of the tree ferns and you will see them, like thousands of tiny blue winking stars.
It's really rather special.
I've seen glow worms in caves and on other night forest walks, but this one was the best walk to see so many of them so close together.
