Don't just walk the specifically marked streets on the map. If you go a little deeper, you?ll find what I liked to think of as the ?Real? houses of Battery point.
A little less flash, some a little tired looking and needing a coat of paint, but neverless real and you could see people coming and going about their daily business - more signs that people actually LIVE there (rather than it being like a toy village with few personal touches).
Here, in the back streets of Battery Point I even noticed advertising on windows - notices pinned to the effect of ?NO WAR? or « Stop Jim (Jim Bacon, state Premier) destroying our forest", and other unusual propoganda.
We walked from Battery Point on to Arthur?s Circus. Arthur?s Circus is made up of 15 Georgian cottages set around a former village green (which is now a small grassy park with swing). Now this place really does look like a toy town, pretty, but perhaps less lived in.
