The small ski area township of Jindabyne is situated at the edge of large Lake Jindabyne, just a few kms outside the eastern edge of Kosciuszko National Park, and unlike the ski resort towns, doesn't seem to be too expensive, especially at the supermarket.
It's quite a modern, pleasant town, with the pretty view of the lake and surrounding mountains dominating the town. It's also the largest town in the area, most others being ski resorts. |

aussiedoug Mon Oct 31, 2005 10:47 UTC See my wife has visited these tips already. We've always skiied @ Falls Creek, but this year we've stayed @ Jindabyne twice & I'm surprised how much I like it. | GeminiKerry Thu Sep 29, 2005 05:27 UTC Hi Kate. That looks like the Nuggets Crossing shops to me. Yes we spent some time there too with our twin girls. |
