Miss Maud Restaurant: Swedish Restaurant/Cafe

  • Restaurant Name: Miss Maud Restaurant

As the last time I came to Perth, you just can't miss Miss Maud's - it's become a Perth institution now, with a lot more outlets than the one restaurant I remember from years ago.
It's a Swedish Restaurant - we didn't go to the main restaurant but one of the sub outlet cafes, where I didn't think the ambience was as good - a bit too like a normal bakery,

Favorite Dish: I enjoyed my coffee and lemon cheese cake very much. I wouldn't necessarily say that much looked Swedish though, perhaps more German with the strudels.

Taka was a very casual, very reasonably priced Sushi house (and plenty of cooked dishes too)

Favorite Dish: I had a kind of chicken dish with steamed rice and fried egg mixed in (forget the name) but it was rather nice. Most dishes only between $7 and $9 ea, so very reasonable.

No dolphins at AQWA these days- and no plans to have them there again - but it's still a great place to visit. You'll have to head west again one day. leyle

Nice tips Kathryn! To see the carpet of wildflowers in spring sounds beautiful.
