Botanical Gardens - Lake Wendouree
Botanical Gardens

Ballarat's Botanical Gardens are quite special, with many beautiful statues, Australia's only Prime Minister's Statue Walk (busts on columns of all of Australia's Prime Ministers, right up to present day).
And the gardens also play a central role in the annual Easter 1 week Begonia Festival.
Many of the Begonias for the festival are grown here, in the Botanical Gardens Robert Clarke Centre (the glass pyramid in the background)

Address: North Gardens, Lake Wendouree

Directions: just off the top of Sturt Street, around the 1300 block
