Botanical Gardens

Ballarat's Botanical Gardens are quite special, with many beautiful statues, Australia's only Prime Minister's Statue Walk (busts on columns of all of Australia's Prime Ministers, right up to present day).
And the gardens also play a central role in the annual Easter 1 week Begonia Festival.
Many of the Begonias for the festival are grown here, in the Botanical Gardens Robert Clarke Centre (the glass pyramid in the background)

The Statue Walk

This is the start of Australia's only Prime Minister Statue Walk, which features a column mounted bust of each Prime Minister from Federation, right up to present day with John Howard.

Botanical Flowers

The gardens are nice and leafy in their autumn colours at this time of the year, but it's not the best time for flowers, of course, so here is a pic of one of the flower beds still flowering.
