Faneuil Hall / Quincy Market: Quincy Market. (Fanueil Hall)
  • Tip Rating:

  • Quincy Market. (also called Fanueil Hall) Listed here because it is a gigantic selection of Boston eateries and variety. You name it, its probably cuisine here. The 'seating' is a bit rustic, but when the food is this good, you'll quickly adapt and enjoy the ambience of my favorite pig-out restaurant. The restaurant at the Pru is jacket/tie only. Quincy Market is whatever you're wearing, or in some cases, not wearing...
Combine a shopping extravaganza with delicious food and you've got a lot of happy people to mingle and people watch with. In years past, I've done my entire Christmas shopping buying frenzy here in 1 day. Many reasonably priced vendors and countless specialty shoppes. If you think it's expensive here, please...please stay away from Newbury Street. ;-)

Favorite Dish: Could it be the non-alcoholic frozen 'monkey' drinks? (no no, not monkey as in animal, its called the monkey bar). At Fan'l Hall-as we native Bostonians say--you can choose a few of the Chinese appetizers, on top of some delicious Japanese specialties, blend that with Greek and Italian meats or cheeses, then wolf down some warm Boston chocolate chip Factory cookies with a hot coffee or espresso, then grab some exotic-flavored jelly beans or crunch on a piece of homemade peanut brittle...the choices are almost endless, and food prices are reasonable. Avoid the outdoor cafe's if you can, they can be very pricey. The interior food court offers the best choice and prices.

Directions: Every day is unique at Fan'l Hall.... You may find or see costumed characters reading plays by Shakespeare, other times you'll stumble onto an acrobat or magician or balloon tying clown.

Faneuil Hall / Quincy Market: Fanueil Hall - Quincy Market. ...
  • Tip Rating:

  • Fanueil Hall - Quincy Market. 3 long shopping buildings with 2-3 levels each, a food court that'll sate the most disciminating of palates, great night until about 9pm when all the shops close.
Numerous pubs, clubs and drinking establishments all within close proximity by foot.

Incorrect Urban Legend. Gen Hooker is not how ladies of the night were nicknamed hookers. http://www.gather.com/viewArticle.jsp?articleId=281474976732852

Extremely interesting page. I've been to Boston a number of times but have never seen The Boston Massacre Site. Those are some pretty significant cobblestones! I'll seek them out on my next visit.
