Scenic glory in every direction.
This slightly less-ventured destination is a perfect location for the traveler who enjoys
fantastic landscapes and art, friendly people, remarkable views of the jagged, snow-
covered Alps, and is looking for true Bavarian thrills...all snuggled
deep in an enchanted village.
Berchtesgaden has the luxury of a little slower pace, and is well appreciated by this VT'er.
My hopes to see the glorious scenery and sights made infamous(unfortunately, to it's own underserved misfortune) by a well-known dictator who altered the world and its people, were entirely rewarded at each new corner and turn, with views and sites like this photo.
One visit, and it becomes instantly clear why anyone would choose this Bavarian retreat for their private escape from the mainstream, devoid of the hustle-and-bustle of bigger cities.
Located so close to the Austrian border,
you can still hear the sounds of magical music
just over one of those peaks. |
