"Beautiful little Erice" Erice by Elina80

Erice is a lovely little village in a small mountain in north-western Sicily. I don´t advice you to go there during the winter but in summer it is one of the most beautiful things I saw in Sicily. There is an old castle from where you can see the coastline below. Wander also through the narrow streets and from the small shops you can buy delicious pastries, wine and honey (among other things).

• Pros:Beautiful and peaceful place. Cooler air than below the mountain. Good one-day attraction. Not too far from Palermo.
• Cons:Only a summer-destination
