...The Melting Pot...

Hubby and I @ 41st floor, Skybridge, Twin Towers*
*

As one of the visitors of Kuala Lumpur*,I always fascinated with the obvious muti-cultured country which predominantly Malay, with the smaller groups of Chinese, Indians, Euroasians, Potoguese and many other mixed races. I also noticed that the the city itself was divided along racial lines. The focal point of new Malaysia. While the city's past is still present in the evocative British colonial buildings of the Dataran Merdeka and the midnight lamps of the Petaling Street nightmarket, that past is everywhere met with insistent reminders of KL's present and future. The city's bustling streets, its shining, modern office towers, and its cosmopolitan air project an unbounded spirit of progress and symbolize Malaysia's unhesitating leap into the future.

As you may know, I don't have a plan to go here..hubby called me right after when he arrived in his office last Monday, if I like to go in KL? My..what about the ticket? He told me, he booked a ticket for two on that same day..so, rushed to booked a hotel..as I want to stay around the KLCC areas that aren't too expensive(of course, we don't plan this)..I searched and searched but most of the hotel doesn't allow bookings on that same day..So, posted a VT KL forum hoping that somebody might help. And Audrey, did help! When we arrived in the Airport, I was very confident to let hubby call the Agent in KL..then, where the HELL was my wallet???My Goshh...I got the wrong wallet? Luckyly, hubby has his Citibank ATM, so you see, we haven't booked a Hotel yet but all went well..Stayed near in KLCC around Bukit Bintang areas a 3 Star Hotel! This is really what happens when you don't plan ahead your trips..well, I learned my lessons...We had a great time afterall! But the story did not end there! Until we got in the KL airport..The plane almost leaved us, I thought the flight time was 9:15 pm but it was 8:15pm! Grrrr..We arrived around 8:05pm..No..it's not our fault! It's in the Hotel, they told us that the flight was moved properly..instead of writing it by 19:15-boarding time, they wrote it as 9:15-departure...Anyway, we're now in BKK!heheh

Well, It's something to look forward to..I can't imagine a KL page without this proudly standing tall building..Viewed from the park and it's amazing!

Pros and Cons
  • Pros:Not too crowded...as it is desserted during weekends or holidays..
  • Cons:Do they charge jaywalking here? Some people are crossing the streets when it's not yet green light!
  • In a nutshell:Truly Asia as they say....
