Scuba divers and tourists flock to Rockport to enjoy the sea. Rockport is at the farthest end of Cape Ann on the north shore of Massachusetts. Formerly just a quaint fishing village, the town is now a very affluent community that includes a great number of tourists in the summer months. Somehow the town manages to keep a laid-back atmosphere, probably because so many people there are on vacation. Unfortunately, the laid-back atmosphere does not extend to the police, who take great delight in ticketing and towing cars without resident parking stickers. |
