We arrived at the Phoenix airport at around 10 PM with no car and no hotel reservations: the usual. We called around on the courtesy phones at the airport to find the cheapest rate with the rental car companies, secured a car and then drove around to find a hotel. Our accommodation was cheap and unmemorable, but that's not what we travel for anyway. The next morning we would have to make plans to get the most out of one day in Phoenix!
