Favorite Thing: This comes up a lot in the forums: When is the best time to see the Fall color? While it's impossible to predict exactly when foliage will be at peak, in general you'll find a lot of color on Columbus Day weekend. Columbus Day is the second Monday in October. The northern mountains may peak a week or two earlier, but you'll probably still see some color there and you'll see plenty in the Monadnock region, the area between Milford and Keene. If you decide to visit New Hampshire in the Fall, be aware that you will not be alone in your leaf peeping. Expect a little bit of congestion even on secondary roads.

Agraichen Sat Feb 10, 2007 06:31 UTC I still mourn the loss of "the old Man"...and my time in Bristol. I'll have to make a trip back some day. Did you ever ski Tenney? | Lafinwithu1953 Sat Aug 26, 2006 12:15 UTC I lived in NH until 3 years ago. The weather there isn't bad, like it was when I was a kid with winter temps below zero most of the time & LOTS of snow. I was very LUCKY to be there! Now I am 3 hrs. to beach & 4 hrs. to Mts. & it's humid as hell in NC! | Helga67 Fri Jul 7, 2006 12:56 UTC Excellent tips. I can't wait to go there in Autumn. | pheasanttail Sat Jan 28, 2006 15:17 UTC great NH page. Being a Massachusetts native Nh is my get away state. My home page has alot of Nh on it.
