Yes it is touristy but for a reason, AMAZING! We flew into Bali from Vietnam for athe "Enchanting Bali" package that Singapore Airlines was offering. It is very expensive for me from Canada but a great deal from Vietnam. We spent one week there and I must say, Singapore airlines deserves to be one of the top in the world, if you have flown as much as me, you can really appreciate the service, food, leg room and professionalism of their staff. I would fly with them again in a second!
Bali was very touristy but we managed to escape it for a few days and see Bali's gorgeous countryside and even do some white water rafting. Bali does not lack in activities, that is for sure! The tours are DIRT cheap by Caribbean standards. We went white water rafting for about $40 for the 2 of us. Almost every tour in the Dominican and Cuba runs into the $80 US range...ouch!
The thing I enjoyed the most, learning about Hinduism. This was my first opportunity ever to be immersed into this culture. I really enoyed Bali and was glad to experience this island. |
