Perfect weather, perfect snow | The Mont Blanc, seen from Chamonix |
Chamonix at the bottom of the Mont Blanc is a very good place to ski or board until the end of April. In most ski areas the snow conditions are still pretty good. But hurry up! Temperatures about 15°C on the mountain and a deep blue sky will make skiing impossible soon. |
| | Le Tour A rather small skiarea with pretty easy runs is in Le Tour. It is perfect for snowboarders and carvers. Only very few people take the ski bus to the end of the Chamonix valley, where Le Tour is located. |
| | Les Grands Montets In my opinion, the best ski area is located above Agentière and is called "Les Grands Montets". It has a high claim so that only good skiers or boarders should take the ski lifts there. The highest point is the Grands Montets (on the picture) with 3200 meters a.s.. From there you can either take a very bumpy ski run back to the middle station or you take the ski lift back. |
