One of the more common tourist souvenirs from Jordan is sand-filled glass bottles. Often you can have one custom made for you, complete with camels along the bottom and your name (or other message) along the top. These bottles make great gifts and are even more fun to just watch them being created right infront of you. This man works at the entrance of Mt. Nebo and charges JD1 for a customized bottle.
