    • There are wine tours and wine tours -- perhaps one of the most entertaining is the tour of Pierre Jourdan winery given by the wine maker himself -- Achim van Arnheim! He does the tour on Saturday afternoons and is very amusing. You do learn alot about winemaking but you also hear amusing stories and learn a great deal about the heart and soul that goes into making great wine! The grande finale is Achim taking the top off a bottom of champagne with a real sabre! The wines there are excellent, too!

     Old Achim is quite a character. I had the honor of meeting him a while back and he invited us to his famous tasting "ceremony" NOT TO BE MISSED!!!!!

     That opening-shot brings back great memories, I see myself sitting again in the small restaurant looking to the mountains. And indeed the wine is superb.
