The varied scenery (from volcanoes and mountains to beaches and fields) is a treat but best of all are the people! Salvadorans are friendly, warm people who are glad to welcome you to their country! It would be hard to pick one particular place to take visitors to. Perhaps to El Mozote (a village where 1000 people were slaughter in 1981 in the civil war) where there's a simple monument to the massacre; perhaps to stroll the quiet streets of Souchitoto with its wonderful public art displays and views of the lake; maybe its to the market in San Salvador or the ruins at Tazumal. There's lot s to see and do! |
