Enjoying the scenery of God's creation!

The travels I enjoy most are traveling the "backroads" or "off the beaten path". I like getting off the interstates as much as possible, traveling on the main street of towns and driving through historic districts.
I enjoy reading about the history of places before going there. Some of my travels are in conjunction with the genealogy research I do. I read about ancestors, then travel to the places where they lived.
I grew up in north Louisiana and have also lived in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Oklahoma and Ohio.
My husband is from southeastern Minnesota, so we travel up there as much as we can to visit relatives. After my husband retired a few years ago he bought a motorcycle, so sometimes we make short trips on it.
