Appleby Travel Guide: 3 reviews and 10 photos

Appleby-in-Westmorland as the proper name once was is a small Cumbrian town between the desolate County Durham moors, Yorkshire Dales and the outskirts of the Lake District. Most famous for its annual horse fair, it also boasts a castle with nice gardens.
