"Aquae Sulis" Bath by Sjalen

Bath had long been of my list of "must sees" in the world when we finally got here. Therefore, expectations were high but Bath matched all of them. To me, it was like someone had taken a chunk of my beloved Edinburgh, shrunk it and made it English. Add to that the famous hot springs that has made the city famous, and I was so glad I came. It has to be said that we were here in February when the tourist invasion is less visible - it might well be driving you crazy in summer.

The only thing I found hard in Bath was where to eat with children since we wanted to avoid the fast food joints and have proper meals. Ideally in pubs and the like which generally do not accept children. Ordinary restaurants often looked very posh too and even if we can afford that sort of thing it's not really us - especially not when we are out travelling with limited luggage :)))

Apart from this, Bath is a lovely city. A fact which is also greatly helped by the surrounding hills which gives it a cosy feel and which are ideal for daytrips to pretty little villages.
