Oooozing history - Chester

This will be one of those pages where you wish the weather had been better so you would have had more pictures. Anyway, I still have to create a page for this gorgeous city. Founded by the romans (hence its name) it has remains from their time, but also from times when wars with the Welsh were common and you can see the Welsh mountains from the city walls. The city centre itself is full of half timbered houses in a very unique style with galleries. You won't regret stopping here.
