Forget this photo where I've made all mistakes possible. Horizon in the middle and all that :-))) It's not easy being on a rolling catamaran when pregnant...Instead, see the cliffs with the castle high up on the top. That's what you should really visit this place for! Few English places have such a spread out of history in so little a space. From the romans to Churchill.
Standing up there you have a great view across to France and you can imagine the strategic value Dover has had throughout times as well as look down on the modern port and think that right there right now, some desperate refugee might be hiding in a lorry... |
