On my top ten list of world cities so far! Dramatic location on and around seven hills which were once volcanoes. On the central cliff stands the famous castle which is a must to see but the rest of the town has loads to offer too, especially a great atmosphere. If you can find accommodation, be there for the annual festival in August when there is no better place on Earth to be at! The festival usually coincides with the
famous Edinburgh Tattoo.
The picture above show something that is almost in the city centre, yet this spectacular! It is Salisbury Crags, a range of hills which you can climb to get great views of the city. The castle is Holyrood Palace -QEII's official residence when she is in town and just at the lower end of the Royal Mile.

Quite an impressive looking castle perched above the city! Scotland is one of those destinations that is still on my 'Must See' list, but thanks for the preview!
Interesting page Charlotta! I can't wait to explore this lovely city for myself! (And those jacket potatoes look scrummy too!)
My favourite city too!!! It has one of the most courteous people I've met anywhere! Great pics you've taken here!!!
