"Forests and sea" Nacka by Sjalen

Nacka is a municipality just east of Stockholm city, and a nice one too if you like to mess around in forests or on boats. I haven't got that many pictures to prove it (and this one was taken on a right murky morning), but I was weaned on this area early on as I walked its forests as a toddler :)))

In fact, many of you have seen Nacka without realising it, as it is the area with the tall TV masts and hideously painted water tower that you can spot when you arrive to Stockholm by boat or look out across the sea from, say, Djurgården.

Nacka frequently hosts the Stockholm Beer & Whisky Festival and well...in 2006, this was the setting for a great chunk of the infamous VT Beer and Bazoomba meeting. Seriously one of the weirdest but funniest VT meetings ever! See more in the travelogues below.

Pros and Cons

Pros:close to Stockholm service, seaside, forests
Cons:nah, give me a house here any day
In a nutshell:Hot chocolate and Japanese showers :)

You can get to Nacka by bus from Slussen, but why should you when you can take a boat from Skeppsbron too :) OK, that... more travel advice
