Birkerød is a green and pleasant municipality just north of Greater Copenhagen. Popular with both Danes and expats, it has several forest paths where you can go for walks, as well as a drinking water lake with rolling fields around it. The centre with good connections to Copenhagen, focuses on the little medieval church and its fantastic art. Shortly, a place to go if you find yourself in Copenhagen for a longer time.
