Cycle stairs and other Bornholm, Denmark Warning Or Danger Tips

Nothing dangerous at all, but you should be aware of the fact that you can come across these as a cyclist in the northern parts of the island. It is simply where the cliffs are too steep to make a proper cycle path so instead, steps have been created, leaving you to pull your bike up! The hardest one we encountered and the most famous one is this one just south of Jon's Chapel on the west coast. Luckily, there is a kiosk at the top where you can refresh yourself in all sorts of manners. The Bornholm cycle book gives you the advise to take the main road from Hasle if you tow a trailer as well. The second one we encountered was outside Gudhjem but that was shorter - and downhill for us :)))
