This is one of the best places in Denmark and the only reasons I am not giving you more pictures and info is that I have only a few pictures and for various reasons, I haven't been back for a long time. The island is as close to Sweden as to Denmark but distinctly Danish and you reach it by ferry from Frederikshavn unless you have your own boat. Long, sandy beaches, fishing harbours, cosy inns serving the fish, moors full of heather and cycle paths, and the odd Icelandic horse. What more can you want on a holiday? |
