Roenne is the first place most people get to on Bornholm. As it happens, they are also eager to leave it to get to one of the many other sights on the island. This is perfectly understandable, since Roenne doesn't have the same charm as Gudhjem and Svaneke, nor a white beach or cliffs to make people stay. It would however be a shame not to see anything of the town if you have the opportunity. We spent an afternoon here when we had cycled from Dueodde to catch the ferry back to Sweden and whilst it is no firm favourite, we ended up learning a lot about Bornholm life here - the way you do in a capital.
