    • A Braai is social happening and culinary experience you will find here in South Africa. The word Braai (rhymes with ‘cry’) is Afrikaans for ‘barbecue’ or ‘roast’. To me it translates as simply delicious. You also get to burn stuff to make your meal. Most grocery stores have all your Braai supplies. That includes firewood. It gives you a chance to enjoy the natural beauty of South Africa, eat delicious grilled food and legally start a big fire and not get into trouble.

    Favorite Dish:
    Enjoy Boerwoers (a large grillable sausage), Texas Steak (a pre-marinated massive beast of a steak available at Shoprite grocery stores) and beer underneath the stars. Alternatively cook & eat anything you can buy, kill or get your hands on.
