Want to fly hear relatively cheaply? Ryanair is your airline of choice! They fly to the oddly, and misleading, named Karlsruhe-Baden Airport. I found a flight with another airline and it would have cost me 3 times as much and landed in another area of the country! You don’t get any real services on board, but its cheap, quick and safe. Works for me!

DB - THE BEST TRAIN COMPANY IN THE WORLD

I love these folks! If you need to book tickets you can either go to a ticket counter or book on-line. They have all sorts of languages to select from so you can access their reservation systems. In person they are so friendly, polite, helpful and find the cheapest tickets for you. They are also brilliant when it all goes wrong. Just read my ‘General Tips’ about the Train Inspector. He could have fined me when I was on the wrong train, but helped me instead. And the trains? Clean and on-time. This is the best train company I have ever used. Well done Deutsche Bahn!
