BEFORE | Octagonal shaped tower on Gediminas Hill |
Vilnius is a fantastic city full of Medieval, 18th Century and (unfortunate) Soviet history. The centre can be walked in a leisurely pace and the whole city can be surveyed from either a very healthy walk up Gedimino Kalnas (Gediminas Hill), or a rocket-like accent to the top of the TV tower. Trams run every 2 minutes 7-days a week to make this a well-run city and the Bush Taxis will take you anywhere and everywhere. Prague was probably this quaint and provincial - once. Please visit this gem of a Capital where East meets West and the relaxed atmosphere really enhances the visit. And the food is to die for!
Go now! I hope it is not too late..... |

Vilnius is indeed an interesting town, even though it doesn't have an Olde Hansa. *winkygrin* | Towers Fri Oct 5, 2007 11:21 UTC Stebuklas, roughly translated to english, means "miracle." |
