The Maldives are 3 things:

Every island a paradise, every hotel on a paradise island and every need catered for. The physical beauty is unmatched in the world. The only way you are going to see it though is by Seaplane. Do not be tempted to save $100 by transferring to your Love Island by boat. It would be like going to an Art Museum with a blindfold on. The highest point is 15 feet above sea level. To see hundreds of islands and the coral reefs you have to fly.
Once you have landed on the beach look for the Western White Whale (tip below) and enjoy an ice cold beer from the bar overlooking your temporary paradise. And expect to pay big money. |

Didn't the Maldives nearly get wiped out with the tsunami? Friends went just before that..We had a white whale off coast of Australia not long ago. Really scary with the "scientific whale hunters " from Europe about. The real sort ! |
