Hi, a great and very funny page to read :-) I enjoyed it very much!
I am going to York this summer and am looking forward to it so much! I will remember to have a look at the minster shop first before I buy any souvenirs anywhere else. I think such a gargoyle might be a great gift for my dad!

It's been many years since we visited York, but loved it. But reading here about the Shambles destroyed my good memories of it forever!

Agree, parking is expensive, however, there are several park and ride car parks around the perimeter of the city providing cheaper parking with a bus ride into the city.

Yup, I can't believe it! I entered the on-line petition. Tesco keep getting into places they are not needed or wanted, grrr. Oh I did say friends & family, you never know. So a big move is on the cards, wow, keep me posted.
