THE COLONIAL HEART OF ZANZIBAR Stone Town is the story of Zanzibar itself. Old wooden Omani doors open up into huge cavernous buildings full of families that fear their collapse during the rainy season. British colonial architecture and even a French Cathedral view with the markets and Mosques to form the crazy narrow streets that make up a fantastic mosaic of life. From the Arab Fort you can see the port that brought colonial powers and sea traders. You can also glimpse the incredible natural beauty that not only is on Zanzibar Island, but is surrounded by it.
