Addis Ababa means �New Flower�. Emperor Menelik II ordered that his new capital be built here because it was malaria free, had fertile soil, water and wood for building. Today this is a metropolis of almost 4 million, Addis has it all. The great thing is that most prices for visitors are probably the cheapest of any Capital city in the world. You can do and see it all in this fascinating and busy city.
