Port Vendres is situated near Cap Bear.
Is also the international Port for fruit in the Mediterranean.
Port-Vendres, where your cruise ship docks, is charming itself, but it's really only the jumping off point for exploring the Languedoc Roussillon area, which is just next to Spain and as strongly Catalan as it is French.
Of course, you can always find escape in or on the water. Diving and sailboarding, as well as sea and harbor cruising, are available.
People speak french and catalan in Port Vendres.
