Actually it was just a very vague idea, but when a dear online friend of mine asked me, when we were coming to Cape Town, one thing led to the other - and 6 hours later we had a confirmed flight from Munich to Cape Town.
That was on December 31, 2008.
Not quite 3 months later Heinz and I started our vacation and every day was as we had hoped it to be! When we returned we had two suitcases full of wonderful memories - and two new friends in Cape Town!

Since we visited Cape Town and the Cape Provinces, I am not an expert on "South Africa" as a whole. So I will only post some general tips here that I think might apply to the whole country. For more precise tips, please do visit my Cape Town page!
