started or returned from my trips at the Frankfurt airport or attended conventions,
but I never really visited!
Now, in 2006, VT finally made it happen:
I attended my first VT meeting there!
Not only did I meet wonderful people there, but I was also given
a tour through Frankfurt and found out that it is not that bad after all!
In fact - I really liked it!!!
.
But to be quite honest: it is not so much Frankfurt itself, but rather one of Frankfurt's inhabitants that make this place so nice:
Don (aka Nemorino) is the perfect tourguide - and if you are interested also the perfect opera expert!
I was fortunate to be invited to see Mozart's "Zauberflöte" with him - and that sure was a very special event! Thanks so much, Don!
My advice is:
if you have a little spare time,
do have a look around downtown Frankfurt,
you will not be disappointed!

Hallo! Habe mal auf Deiner Frankfurtseite rumgeschnuppert! Wir verbringen im Sept. 2 Wochen bei meiner Tante in Hofheim und werden dann auch mal Frankfurt genauer anschauen! (wie Du auch, kannte ich eigentlich bisher nur den Flughafen!) Gruss / Jess :-)

A very interesting page and pleasant VT-meeting I guess! Mainhatten looks not worth then Manhatten... I could watch it only from autobahn passing by Frankfurt many times but never visit it yet... Thanks Christine!
