"My first encounter with West Africa" Senegal by tini58de
Senegal Travel Guide: 526 reviews and 1,221 photos
I had been to Northern Africa before, but never experienced anything like here in Senegal. I was amazed of the colors, the markets, the poise of the women carrying loads and loads on their heads!!!
And although we only spent two days passing through Senegal, I was already overwhelmed by so many impressions!
If you like to find out about more "shades of the world", (the theme calendar of 2004), please do have a look at my travellogue.

Hi Christine, somehow I have missed this page up to now. This looks like a fascinating place. I love the little goats that keep popping up in some of your photos.
Nice Dakar pics. I was in Dakar in the late 1990s for 10 days for a conference. Liked VM. Unfortunately, i did not have DG.camera but I had an old fashioned camera but cannot locate my photos for scanning. I have Ibadan (Nigeria) photos though. Good day.
Sounds like you went on an incredible trip! Your words and pictures capture the atmosphere so well - thank you for sharing
