We went on a three week tour through Namibia - and even made it to the Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe! We stayed in tents or pensions, cooked for ourselves most of the time and enjoyed the beautiful scenery of the country!

The Etosha NP was an experience of a lifetime and I took tons of pictures. Some of them found their way into my theme calender of 1994 - you can see all the calendar picture in my travellogue "Animals of the world"
The order of my "must see activity" tips marks our itinerary:
Windhoek - Quiver Tree Forest - Keetmanshoop - Fish River Canyon - Lüderitz - Diamond Area - Namib Desert/Sossusvlei - Swakopmund - Phillips Grotto - Bull's Party - Etosha NP - Caprivi Stip - (Botswana/Zimbabwe/Zambia) - Waterberg Plateau - Windhoek.

Nice pages. I love Namibia. Swakop is my favourite. Being from SA it also feels like home. I agree you hear a lot of German and also Afrikaans. We could even use our SA Rand there.
Lovely Namibia page. Looking forward to see this beautiful country myself.
Great page, Namibia sure looks like a beautiful place. Would like to see Fish River Canyon and Etosha national park someday
I don't think I would know what to expect of a German restaurant (I don't think I have ever seen one in the UK). Lovely pics. I would love to visit Namibia one day.
What a stunning sunrise on the quiver tree forest ! It is amazing that the print of German still remains after such a long time ! Very interesting page on a country that I hope to visit.
Wonderful page on Namibia, great memories came back reading your page.
I like all those stories and the lovely pics of elephants.
