We started in Hamburg, drove all the way down to Spain and then on to Morocco. And there was this fascination about a totally different culture - the women, the markets, the mosks - there were many more travels to the Orient to follow.
I remember the first "real" Morroccan market in Moulay Idriss - I just couldn't believe it!! And this fascination for market places has not left me until today!
If you like to enjoy some more pictures of markets around the world, please have a look at my
travellogue "Markets of the World"
market pictures taken from my theme calendar 1993.
Twenty years later I returned to Morocco - just for a short 4 day visit, but I really loved it! This little page has old AND new pictures - so do enjoy it!

We visited there many years ago .It was our first trip ever to an African country. Wonderful writings. I love your pages.
I would have loved to have seen more of Morocco when we were there last year - will have to go back to see Fez, Ait Ben Haddou and the dunes of Merzouga especially - like you I am fascinated by the desert :-)
So that's a kasbah....I never knew! It's hard to believe this exotic place is only an hour's ferry trip from Spain...amazing!
Another brilliant page! And teleboutique :) under construction *grins*
Many of these places are on our itinerary for March. I've read the same thing about Moulay Idriss in my guidebook, I hope we find it as welcoming as you did!
Fascinating page. I would love to visit Morocco one day.
Can't wait to see some of Morocco for myself next month!
A fantastic introduction to Morocco. I had no idea it could snow there! Wonderful pictures, too!
Excellent Morocco pages. You were featured on the VT HP. Had no idea about the mountains! Just know it from friends who went to "drop out" for a while.
Hi Christine, I really liked your Morocco Page. Thank you! Best regards.
