When Ryan Air introduced Dublin as the new destination from our local Karlsruhe/Baden Airport,
we were amongst the first to book
and spent six wonderful days on the green island.

We arrived in Dublin and started a three day tour of the south and the west of Ireland the next day. We saw much landscape, but also stopped at some great places like Cahir Castle, Killarney, the Shannon Inlet, Galway and Clonmacnoise - an absolutely wonderful itinerary!

Upon our return there were still three nights and two days left to explore Dublin and explore we did! We did a lot of fun stuff like taking pictures of the Georgian doors, visit museums, went to the U21 hurling finals and tasted lots of different beers!

I hope you will find my tips enjoyable and helpful and that you will love your stay in Ireland as much as we did!

I truly enjoyed reading your tips and, just as you, would love to come back to Ireland one day. Talking of beer - I probably liked Murphy's and Beamish best. One day instead of Beamish I ordered Bulmer's by mistake - it was quite a surprise.

Great overview on Ireland! Ryanair cheap flights are good, but sometimes it's hard to find a cheap hotel. I liked the pictures of the doors of Dublin. So colourful!
