Medina del Campo
If you ever want to see an impressive fortress - go to Medina del Campo!!! Such an immense monument is truly breathtaking!!! The town itself is small, only about 20000 inhabitants, but it has soooooo much to offer! Last time I was there was in 1977, so I should maybe go back again.....
Sevilla
Sevilla has a lot to offer: the Alcazar, lovely town squares, shopping facilities and a pretty good nightlife - at least when I was there! Do have a look at their tourist website - it is a city that I will pretty sure visit again!

Santillana del Mar
Santillana del Mar is a beautiful small town in the Northern part of Spain. It has an impressive monastery and beautiful landscape surrounding it.
The famous caves of Altamira unfortunately were closed, when we were there, so we had to "put up" with just a beautiful little village!

walls of the Alhambra
Granada is world famous for the Alhambra, a huge palace with beautiful ornaments, wells, gardens, mosaics - one can spend hours and hours in this place! The only time I visited was in 1977, but I still remember this place so very well! One tip: go early to ensure a ticket to visit the Alhambra! You will not be alone!!!

Girona
Girona is a nice little town with a lot of atmosphere and wonderful old buildings. Stroll around the streets, visit churches, enjoy the looks of the river Onyar and just have a good time! We did !!!
For more information, please do have a look at my Girona page!

Elche
Without me knowing it, we stopped at a UNESCO World Heritage site on our way to Morocco. What I thought to be a neat campground in a great location, was really a huge palm tree area in Spain! And I mean HUGE! Great place to visit, if you get kind of tired of all these wonderful cities and need some nature!!!

view from the Palau Guell towards the cathedral
We spent a few days in Barcelona in 2004 and really loved this place! BCN is a very vivid, and still quite historic place!
For more information, please have a look at my Barcelona page!

inside the Mezquita
Cordoba has one of the most fascinating sacral buildings that I have ever visited: the Mezquita.
The Mezquita has been as well Christian church and Mosque several times and shows elements of both. A very fascinating place, indeed!
